Birmingham is proud to be Britain's Balti capital and that's where Leigh Carthey and his family come from. When Leigh arrived in Hervey Bay he saw a chance to introduce the British Balti experience to tourists and local diners and the British Balti Bistro and Restaurant opened in late 2009. Leigh's restaurant is a typical British Indian curry house that offers something a little different to the traditional Indian restaurants in town. The British Balti Bistro has an extensive menu that includes Balti curries, UK curries, vegetarian curries and English meals. All meals on the menu include exotic spices and ingredients that will leave your tastebuds tingling and begging for more. If you've never tried British Balti cuisine before then Leigh and his staff can guide you through the menu and help you discover the taste sensations that will give you the real Balti experience.
